Evans UV1 Coated Drumhead 8"

Evans UV1 Coated 8" Drumhead – Durable Single-Ply Design with Patented UV Curing

The Evans UV1 represents a breakthrough in drumhead manufacturing, featuring a revolutionary patented UV-cured coating that delivers superior consistency and durability compared to traditional coating methods. Drummers who struggle with flaking, chipping, and premature wear will appreciate the enhanced coating integrity that stands up to regular playing and practice sessions. The textured surface created by the UV curing process offers exceptional responsiveness, making these heads particularly effective for brush playing and nuanced stick control. Built on a single 10mil film construction, the UV1 combines warm tonal characteristics with impressive resistance to stretching and denting. This thicker film design maintains head integrity under sustained playing while producing a naturally resonant sound that works across diverse musical genres and playing styles. Paired with Evans' Level 360 Technology collar design, every UV1 head sits flush against the drum shell for consistent bearing edge contact and reliable tuning stability.
